The Spanish subsidiary of Metalusa, MetaloIberica S.L.U., has developed an engineering solution with an international partner for the construction of the Lauca dam in the province of Melanje (Angola).
The Lauca dam, the biggest dam under construction in Angola and the second biggest on the African continent, will produce more than 2000 megawatts of energy and in concrete alone will consume the amount required to build 40 football stadiums.
The project is expected to be concluded in 2017.
